Jeff has been a resident of Villa Rica since 1998. He brings 36 years of combined governmental experience and public service to the position of Mayor, with 14 years of direct service to the City of Villa Rica as the former Deputy City Manager and Director of Parks and Recreation.
Jeff has a Certificate of Public Management from the University of Georgia, Carl Vincent Institute of Government. He is a Master Gardener and has received numerous awards for his service, including the Preservation Achievement Award from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Historic Preservation Division.
Jeff and his wife Teresa have four children between them and nine grandchildren. His wife is an educator in the Carroll County School System and like Jeff, has a passion for our youth. He is also an avid fisherman and enjoys camping and gardening.
Jeff is a fiscal conservative and believes in public/private partnerships and smaller, more efficient government to reduce the tax burden on citizens. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and is known in the community for getting things done! His accomplishments and “foot prints” can be seen throughout the community as the person responsible for the design and construction of the VPlex, Mill Amphitheater, Pine Mountain Gold Museum and Scenic Railroad and numerous city beautification projects throughout the city. He is a consummate planner and is highly regarded as a person who can “Dream It, Design It, Build It and Manage It.”
Jeff believes that “A Great Community is Measured by the Quality of Life of its Residents” and has made that his mission in life.
