Uniform Services
Captain Scott Parker

The Villa Rica Police Department’s Patrol Division is the largest, most visible, division of the department. It is made up of four shifts who work 12 hour rotations providing the city with 24 hour police coverage. The shift officers are responsible for generalized patrol duties, high visibility patrol and for responding to calls for service. Additionally, a specialty unit of officers exists, and is assigned to augment and assist the shifts. These areas of specialty include canine, traffic enforcement, school resource and bicycle patrol operations. Patrol officers respond to a wide range of calls for service, conduct preliminary and follow-up criminal investigations, and process crime scenes while enforcing criminal and traffic laws as well as specified ordinances. Several of these officers are also engaged in a variety of problem-solving initiatives and educational activities based on the department’s firm commitment to community policing.

The Captain of Uniform Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Uniform Services Division, which includes the Patrol, Traffic, Bike and School Resource. The Uniform Services Captain plans, directs and coordinates the Department’s uniformed officers in law enforcement patrol operations.
