The Villa Rica Police Department has implemented a new program for all business owners in the City of Villa Rica. This program is called the P.E.N. (Police Emergency Notification) system. This system allows the Police Department to obtain contact numbers for all business owners and keyholders to help us make contact in case of a break-in or unsecured door. The officer that finds a burglary will look at the sticker on the front glass of the business and call the dispatcher with the sticker number. The dispatcher will then find the corresponding phone numbers and call the owner or keyholder out to assist in securing the business again. We believe this program is going to help the department a great deal in getting in touch with people quicker than we have in the past.
