Ernestine has been with the City since 1988 when she started out driving the bus to pick up senior citizens for Recreation Department activities. Her work ethics and willingness to serve opened up the opportunity for Ernestine to be chosen to head up the newly created Seniors Program. Ernestine was instrumental in acquiring funding for the present day Senior Center at Gold Dust Park where she has been its Director since it opened the doors in 1991. This cheerful employee is an invaluable asset to the City, the Parks and Recreation Department and to the Seniors of the community.
